Slave Work...

The type of work slaves did depended on the time period and location of their slavery. In general, they did the same work as everyone else in the lower side of the society they lived. They were not paid for it beyond room and board, clothing etc. The strong, young men and women were sometimes forced to work long days in the fields, with little or no breaks for water or food. Since slaves were usually considered valuable property, they were usually taken care of in the sense that the little food and shelter were provided to maintain good health, and that the workload was not excessive to the point of endangering health. The men worked in metalworking, while the females normally worked in either textile trades or domestic household tasks. As slaves worked on there daily job, night and day they bust there butt to do what they have to do to try to live a better life for them and there children. Being a slave was hard because they didnt have the opportunity to enjoy life. All there was for them to do was work, work, work. In some areas, some slaves wanted to work because that gave them time to put food there stomach and clothes on there back. Slaves had hardlabor of working but didnt have no say so in what they had to do. They had to do what was told for them to do or had to pay the consequences from there master.

Back....

Slavery affects people in everyday life because people think about the struggle there ancestors went through to get them here today. Slavery was a time period of when blacks had to fight for there life to survive. Through there struggle they have been beaten, killed, starved and suffered through hard labor. Being a slave people had wear chains around there neck, wrists and feet. Slavery was a social-economic system which certain people known as "slaves" are deprived from freedom and compelled to work. Slaves was held against the color of there skin, the right to leave and refuse to work. The word slave refers to people who are treated as the property of another person, household, company, corporation or government. They have no if ands buts about what they do because they know the consequences they are goin to pay if they disobey there masters orders. Back in the day slaves didnt have no "freedom" so as people look back to past and forth to the present they are grateful for what they have in there life.

Child Slavery.....

When slaves had children, there child became slaves as well. In most institutions of slavery throughout the world the children that were slaves became property of there master. Back in the day, people had been sold into slavery. They did that so that the money could be used to pay off their debts that they were in and sometimes the poor sold off their own children to prevent starvation. People have offered themselves into slavery, not even for a price but merely so that their new master would feed and take care of them being that they didnt have nowhere to go. In many cultures, slaves could earn their freedom through hard work and buying their own freedom. This was not possible in all cultures. In 2003 child slavery was on the rise, there are millions of people throughout the world "mainly children" in conditions of virtual slavery, particularly child slavery. Being a child back then was a hard task because as a young one they hard to work just as hard as there parents did.
